al promotion an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Fixed Asset accountant to join the team in a permanent capacity. This is a great role to grow and develop your career with a genuinely supportive management team.
Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective and accurate maintenance of the fixed assets register including additions, disposals and depreciation. You will work with the wider organisation and finance team to develop and implement robust policies and processes for fixed assets and the capital expenditure process including the preparation of business cases. You will report to management on capital spend and the progress of any current capital projects and will act as the first point of contact for any capital related queries across the business. In addition, you will be responsible for the accounting, reporting and compliance of the company's fixed assets and capital expenditure.
Ideally CA or equivalent qualified, you will have a strong technical accounting base and be looking to further your experience and develop your career. You will either have worked in audit or business advisory for a chartered accountancy firm and be looking to make your first move into the commercial sector or have worked your way up within the commercial sector and be looking to further challenge yourself. Your strong written and verbal communication skills will enable you to communicate effectively and build rapport across multiple business units and multiple stakeholders both finance and non-finance minded. You will have strong problem solving skills and work effectively to meet deadlines by prioritising your work. You will also have an analytical mindset and be able to identify opportunities for process improvement.
