Quantity Surveyor / Estimator - CIVILS, Christchurch in Christchurch, Canterbury

With recent tenders now successfully secured, this national main contractor is looking for an experienced & dedicated Quantity Surveyor to work on a significant project which is about to start construction phase! With a strong brand nationally, they have an excellent reputation within the Canterbury region and you will be joining a long standing team who will offer you all the training & support you need!
Working closely alongside a Senior Estimator, your daily duties will be varied and challenging offering you the chance to step outside your comfort zone and further your skills! As a Quantity Surveyor you will manage all the costs relating to a specific project from initial calculations through to final figures stage. Responsibilities will include; preparing tender and contract documents including bills of quantities for the client, undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work, performing risk, value management & cost control, allocating work to subcontractors, providing advice on contractual claims, analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports, valuing completed work and arranging payments.
You will be able to pick up multiple tasks and run with them ensuring deadlines are met and objectives are achieved. This is a fast paced work environment in which your experience & knowledge of the local civil construction market will allow you to hit the ground running!
